Trapped In an Unexpected Rain Storm
A storm passed through yesterday evening, which I got caught in, riding the motorcycle home from work. You see there had only been a 30% chance for storms, so I packed no rain gear that morning. Leaving work, it looked dark toward the South, but I couldn't tell how far South. I soon discovered it wasn't far at all, as I rode right into the core of it, just a mile or two out of downtown. This storm dumped more rain in 15 minutes than most do in an hour. Lightning struck continuously, and thunder pounded all around me. Having no jacket on, it literally felt like riding through a car wash, or under a high-volume shower nozzle. I could barely see, and small ponds were forming at street corners as I neared our house. Truly, an awesome display of God's power, leaving me drenched from neck to ankle (helmet and boots having done their job:).
