Parked in a Walmart parking lot, in St. Joseph, MO, early this morning, to catch some zzz's, but only managed 2 hours. Plus, it was very muggy. Made it into Iowa, finally, and found a rest area, just in time to brew a cuppa java before it got too warm out. I think I'm going to need a hotel room, tonight. It's simply too hot to go more than a day without showering. I also had worked up a sweat running errands and getting things out of the house before I took off.
I hope to make it to Rapid City, SD, before this day is over. That would be quite an accomplishment, and it would be pleasant, to have only spent two days crossing the plains.
